6 Changes I'd like to see in Fortnite

Fortnite has been having a love/hate relationship with me. I love the game as I was in OT since OT4, and was struggling to play on my potato of a computer, after the death of my G73 laptop. Yet it has been hating me for playing on console, Xbox One, because it offers me better experience and streaming capabilities over my desktop. I really need to upgrade it though, any ways, I've been playing Fortnite in binge sessions. I'll play the game nonstop for a week or 2, then swear it off because I see the flaws in the game I feel need addressing. I know it's in early access which is why I'm lenient on the game, but here are some changes and additions I'd like to see in the future.

  1. Allow resources to stack beyond 999 in storm shield storage.

This has been a strain in the early game as you want to hoard everything but limited on space. Being that you'll be collecting wood, brick, metal for the rest of your gaming career in this game to protect your storm shield until it maxes at level 10, and with no way to get removed resources back, yeah, it should be able to cap out past 999.

2. Allow recycle function when removing player placed defenses.

Now in this game that focuses HEAVILY on building and protecting … many players probably didn't think a build through when they started. They were just thinking, “protect it and kill stuff” and make a shabby looking fort. Maybe they're the master planner and had a layout in mind but made some mistakes on placement and had to redo it. Either way both scenarios have the player needing to demo their build(s) and now are short on resources, so why not allow players to earn back up to 20% (can be added in passively for maybe the constructor or even in skill tree under the pickaxe) of resources they demo if the damage is 100% from a pickaxe. This would help make the tedium of loading into maps to harvest only to end with having to redo because you made an error.

3. Allow crafting at the overworld map, not just in missions

The game processes you as a hologram or simulation, so why am I not allowed to craft in the over world? I mean we should be allowed to go into the schematics menu and check out what we have, what we need, and what we can make and do all of it in that one menu.

4. Modifiers to missions to increase rewards

I know that at the end of the month we get a new game mode. Not sure how long it'll last, but I'm excited for it, but I'd love to be able to add modifiers to a mission to make the push for the level 6 chest more feasible. This would also allow players to have more replay value of mission types aside from just running them when they give out V-bucks, Mini Pinatas, or the evolution materials.

5. Founder's pinatas should have higher upgrade rate

Being that we have spent money on the game to upgrade to higher editions, I feel that the pinatas given to use for being founders should have a slightly higher upgrade rate. I’m not sure what the percentage of upgrading is, but it’s a bit frustrating to play everyday and when you get a founder’s pinata get nothing more than a basic copper pinata with things that can drop from any other pinata, with the exception of Founder’s weapons. I’m not asking for them to upgrade every single to gold, but I feel like 20% chance to upgrade to silver being that you’ve got to spend a minimum of $90 USD just to even get founder’s pinatas sucks and makes one feel unappreciated as a customer.

6. Class specific llamas

Now I understand that this game is going to go free-to-play and they make their money of the item shop, but honestly I would actually spend more money if there were class specific llamas that I could buy. I wouldn’t even mind grinding or even buying V-Bucks just so that I can spend them on higher tier class llamas. Epic could have Rare, Epic, and Legendary class llamas that rotate out daily like they do for the general rotating llama, and even when they decide to have a mythic llama pop up have it cost maybe a bit more than the Troll Llama. I want the Mythic soldier soo bad I’d be willing to drop around $30 just to know that I could snag her and be able to level her up and enjoy the game even more. Yet the way things are going for the RNG I get more duplicates than anything and my collection book already has them logged in. Hopefully this idea would be implemented as I feel it would bring them even more money in the long run being that players who want to main a specific class and then a specific archetype in that class, it would be a good thing for morale.
