Let's just swing right into this! Spider-Man: Homecoming was amazing!
Now, we know that the sub title "Homecoming" not only centered around an important dance in the film but the beloved friendly neighborhood Spider-Man's inclusion into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). However, the subtitle should have been called " Coming of Age".
Spider-Man: Homecoming takes place after the events of Civil War and we watch Peter transition into a hero but it is not an easy journey. He tries juggling high school, being bullied, pining over one of the prettiest girls in school, and juggling being a super hero. Of course knowing who Peter is, we know his intentions are pure but we also know where his priorities lie? I mean, he did take down Falcon, Winter Soldier, and he stole Captain America's shield, wouldn't you be ready to take on the world?
The characters in the film had great chemistry and we finally received a great villain since Doctor Octopus from Spider-Man 2 (2004). Although a villain, I can understand why he took certain actions within the movie. Dare I say, Michael Keaton played his role extremely well. Whenever he appeared onscreen, whether donning the Vulture gear or not, I felt intimidated. During production, hearing that Shocker would be in the film worried me because we all know how multiple enemies can mess with the film. This was not the case, neither villain stepped on the other's toes and worked well together.
Spider-Man: Homecoming is filled with a lot of laughter, oh no(s), and spectacular action. It's an extremely fun film that leaves you wanting more when it's over.
